We teach traditional martial arts in an environment that encourages students to learn and grow. Our programs, designed for select age groups starting at 3 ½ years old, are taught by instructors who are not only professionally trained in the martial arts but also the art of teaching. We have worked and continue to work with some of the biggest names in the martial arts industry to come up with a curriculum that is progressive in its approach and keeps tradition at its heart.
Our full curriculum covers traditional techniques, self-defense, sparring and weapons. While learning these things, you will become stronger physically and mentally.
Our young students develop the physical ABC’s of Agility, Balance and Coordination and the mental ABC’s of Attention, Behavior and Confidence. Some experts say that 5% or less of children exhibit all of these but those that do will behave better and are more successful in everything that they do!
While our students place very well at tournaments, they are not our primary focus. We are striving to make martial artists that perform just as well outside of the ring. For us, a trophy is not the goal - a better person is!
You will love our family-friendly atmosphere!
Parents of our Kid Tigers program are welcome to sit and watch their children grow and blossom.
We encourage parents and spouses to take classes together. Unlike sports, Tang Soo Do is something in which families can actively participate. We have several families already taking classes together, having a great time and getting in shape!
We believe that community is the extension of family. As such, we attempt to make our communities better places for ourselves and our children.
We are members of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Clay Area Chamber of Commerce so that we can interact with area businesses and civic groups. We did this so that we could have an ear and voice in how our communities develop.
Every year, we host a Family Safety Day that is free to the public to provide safety awareness and techniques to the community. This year, we were joined by representatives of the Trussville police department, the Trussville fire departmentand the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
